World OT Day 22 - #BAMEOTUKChat

World Occupational Therapy Day (#WorldOTDay) is an annual event taking place on 27th October. The theme for this year is “Opportunity + Choice = Justice”. The aim of this occasion is to promote occupational therapy as affording greater opportunity and choice thereby promoting a more open and just society (WFOT, 2022).

As members of @BAMEOTUK we understand the inequity of opportunity and choice and we wanted to explore further with members and allies through Twitter what positive change we can bring to the world as a community. In the style of #OTalk, we will be exploring the following questions:

  1. What does ‘Opportunity’ mean to you and us?

  2. What does ‘Choice’ mean to you and us?

  3. What does ‘Justice’ mean to you and us?

  4. Does ‘opportunity’ plus ‘choice’ really equal ‘justice’?

  5. What will we occupational therapists and occupational scientists do to
    make positive change?

Please join us on Twitter using the hashtag #BAMEOTUKChat at 8pm on World OT Day 2022.

See you there!
